If only you had known when you received that last speeding ticket that there was a way to fight it and possibly win in court. One guy has, in fact, beaten about 15 California traffic tickets by fighting them.
Plead Not Guilty!
Martin Hill has had instances where he pled not guilty, was convicted of the traffic violation, and appealed the ruling and won in the California Superior Court of Appeals. His opinion is that everyone should plead not guilty every time to every ticket, and at Ticket Snipers, we couldn’t agree more!
Do A Little Research.
In Martin’s blog article, ‘How I beat a Speeding Ticket in California Superior Court of Appeals (Without A Lawyer)’ , he recommends that you first “read the specific statute that you are charged with allegedly violating”. If you’re going to fight your traffic ticket, it’s important that you first know and understand what it is you’re fighting.
Know CVC 22350
Martin also notes that if you’re speeding, if you’re not putting people’s lives and property in danger and you’re not driving in dangerous weather conditions at the higher rate of speed, that the “state does not meet the legal criteria for a conviction of violating code CVC 22350.”Another gentleman, named Peter, who wrote ‘How I Beat My Traffic Ticket’, shares some great insight on the strategy that helped him beat his tickets. Peter states,
“Strategy basically comes down to two options:When the facts are on your side, argue the facts. When the facts are against you, argue the law.”“The most important step in arguing based on the law is to know the law…”
Understand The Law
Peter highly recommends (and we agree) that you should visit www.leginfo.ca.gov and familiarize yourself with the section on vehicle code so you have a better understanding of the law.
Why Ticket Snipers?
As you can see, there are some “do-it-yourselfers” out there who have a better understanding of the law and were able to fight their tickets and win. Most people don’t have the time to do the research about traffic laws themselves and handle it on their own, which is why Ticket Snipers helps drivers in Los Angeles and all of California on a daily basis.
