Palm Springs
Palm Springs is in Riverside County in the Coachella Valley. Palm Springs is within the Colorado Desert. On average, the temperatures during most spring breaks is in the 80s. March tends to be in the low 80s while April begins to rise into the high 80s. Although, Palm Springs is known to be a common destination spot for golf enthusiasts and the older generations, it is a great destination to visit for a family friendly spring break too. Palm Springs has many different family-friendly resorts you can choose from with many containing amazing resort pools for your family to enjoy and keep cool in.In addition, Palm Springs has many family-friendly activities for your family to enjoy during spring break. Palm Springs is home to the Living Desert. The Living Desert is a desert botanical garden and a zoo which is home to about 50 different animals and numerous different plants.The Living Desert also offers interactive attractions such as giraffe feeding, camel interactions, butterflies and hummingbirds, carousel rides, behind the scenes tours, animal encounters, petting zoo, nature and hiking trails, discovery center, play area and model trains. The weather you can expect is around 54-67 degrees Fahrenheit. San Diego has many hotel and resort accommodations to pick from and many different activities to pack your days with. Balboa Park and San Diego Zoo will be enough to spend your whole day experiencing by taking a walking tour at Balboa park then making your way to see the many different animals at the San Diego Zoo.There is also the San Diego Safari Park which is located 35 miles away from the San Diego Zoo in Escondido. It is estimated to take 45 minutes to an hour to arrive to the Safari park from the San Diego area. The Safari Park offers a different zoo experience than the San Diego zoo by offering different types of safaris such as the caravan, cart, Jungle Ropes, and Flightline safaris. San Diego is also home to the Legoland and SeaWorld amusement parks. Lastly, your family can enjoy many water sports such as kayaking, paddle boarding, and canoeing in San Diego.
